Bishop Daniel B. Bland

Motivator, mentor, pastor, gospel artist, and friend, Bishop Daniel B. Bland is respected and called upon by many. He is the Senior Pastor of Revival Church located in New Haven & Hamden, Connecticut. Since his appointment in 2012 by Arch-Bishop Alfred .A Owens Jr., Revival Church has become a thriving & innovative multigenerational church, whose congregation continues to grow ni both size and spirit.
Bishop Bland ismostly known for his passionate and prophetic approach to preaching and teaching hte Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a highly sought after conference speaker, God deposited within him a mandate to equip and empower the lives of believers across the globe. Bishop Bland serves the Episcopacy of the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America, as the Jurisdictional Bishop of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. He often considers himself privileged ot serve the Lord's Church by providing regional oversight and pastoral instruction to senior leaders and their congregations.
In addition ot his service to the local and national church, eh is an avid social services practitioner and advocate. With over two decades of experience and expertise, he can often be found: providing counseling and guidance ot at risk youth involved within the Juvenile Justice
system, advocating for educational equity rights, and providing consultation and training for nonprofit organizations, executive leadership teams, and community practitioners.
In 2020 Bishop Bland was led to co-found the Connecticut Wellness and Urban Trauma Center, affectionately known as "The WELL". Since Its Inception, the WELL has become an Instrument used by God to address food insecurity, voter registration, reduce mental health stigma, teach financial literacy and support communities affected by the COVID-19 virus; by providing PE equipment and COVID safety education.
Bishop Bland's desire to Serve God, by Serving God's people has been recognized on both the National and Local level. In 2007 he was asked to serve as the Advisor & Professor of Gospel Choirs & Choruses at the University of New Haven, In 2014 eh was named the Connecticut Gospel Music Awards Pastor of the Year, and in 2015 he became hte recipient of Connecticut 10 Men of Color Award, and received hte Albertus Magnus College Alumni Premier Achievement
Award for his dedicated work with the marginalized and underserved. Bishop Bland is married to Lady Melonie K. Bland, together they are parents to anew, beautiful, baby girl, Ava Grace Bland.

Melonie K. Bland, MA, LPC, is a highly respected mental health professional, trauma specialist, and leader in the field of community psychology. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Connecticut Wellness and Urban Trauma Center, where she leads with a mission to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care to underserved and urban populations.
Born in Jamaica and raised between the Caribbean and the United States, Melonie’s multicultural roots and lived experiences have deeply informed her passion for advocacy, mental wellness, and family restoration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Psychology from Albertus Magnus College and a Master’s Degree in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 15 years of experience providing clinical care, family therapy, and crisis intervention throughout Connecticut.
Melonie specializes in adult trauma recovery, crisis stabilization, and therapeutic support for individuals navigating complex life transitions. Her clinical expertise includes suicide and homicide prevention, grief counseling, and restorative interventions for families impacted by violence, incarceration, and generational trauma.
Currently, Melonie is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University, with anticipated graduation in July 2025. Her research and advanced training center on trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and the integration of faith and mental health in holistic healing practices.
Beyond her clinical work, Melonie is an active voice in systems advocacy, frequently collaborating with schools, courts, probation offices, and community-based organizations to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations. She is also a passionate speaker and facilitator, empowering women and families to reclaim identity, build emotional strength, and pursue purpose.
