Dr. Melonie K. Bland, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor, trauma specialist, and respected leader in the field of community psychology. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Connecticut Wellness and Urban Trauma Center, where she leads with a mission to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care to underserved and urban communities.
Born in Jamaica and raised between the Caribbean and the United States, Dr. Bland’s multicultural roots deeply inform her passion for advocacy, family restoration, and mental wellness. She holds a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Albertus Magnus College, an M.A. in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University.
With over 15 years of clinical experience, she specializes in adult trauma recovery, crisis stabilization, and therapeutic support for individuals navigating complex transitions. Her expertise spans suicide and homicide prevention, grief counseling, and restorative work with families impacted by violence, incarceration, and generational trauma.
In addition to her clinical and advocacy work, Dr. Bland serves faithfully alongside her husband, Bishop Daniel Bland, as the First Lady of Revival Church. She is also the proud mother of their daughter, Ava Grace Bland. Passionate about generational healing, Dr. Bland combines clinical excellence with heartfelt compassion—believing that when women heal, families and communities are made whole.
